Mission Statement

I am the former host of the nationally syndicated NPR program The Thomas Jefferson Hour. For ten years I sat across from our third president, Mr. Jefferson and asked him questions, challenged him to help us through our modern day problems, and prompted him to tell us more about his philosophy of government and life. In addition to being Jefferson's straight man, I portrayed our second president, John Adams. Both of these men despised, and I mean feared and hated, their peer Alexander Hamilton. One day I decided to find out why!

After reading 12 volumes of Hamilton's Works and Life, I am dumbfounded as to why these two great men would pit themselves against Hamilton. I fell in love with Hamilton. He was direct! He was a clear thinker! He was trustworthy and honest! He was generous and kind! And, he was smarter than Jefferson and Adams put together. I firmly believe they were jealous of this young upstart who had the ear and the trusted advisor position to the most important man in our nation, George Washington.

Now, what does this have to do with my mission statement? Everything!

As I learned more about Hamilton, I realized his life is easily a model for the success education industry. He defined a process for building a prosperous, meaningful, happy and successful life, and he lived the process. I realized that if I had been exposed to Hamilton when I was in my younger years, I could have used his information and leapfrogged over my peers. And I would have been a better man for it! My mission is to help others do just that-leapfrog over life's common mistakes and challenges, and build a prosperous, meaningful, and happy life using the tools and formulas I gleaned from Alexander Hamilton's life.
